What it is
The BBC Concert Orchestra brings its travelling tribute show to Malta for one open-air night at Il-Fosos (the Granaries) in Floriana — the same square that hosts Isle of MTV later in July. Two of the biggest pop catalogues of the 1970s, fully orchestrated and sung by guest vocalists: ABBA on one side, the Bee Gees on the other.
The concert is on Saturday 4 July 2026. Gates open at 6:30 pm, the orchestra is on stage from 7:00 pm to around 11:00 pm. The show is sold as a face-off — Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Stayin' Alive, Night Fever, How Deep Is Your Love — with the BBC Concert Orchestra under a guest conductor and a full pop rhythm section.
Il-Fosos is a flat granary square so sightlines are good from most of the standing area. Public transport from Valletta is a short walk; driving in is harder — park at MCP Floriana or in Blata l-Bajda and walk down.
