What it is

The Valletta Waterfront Wine Fest is a four-night summer festival on the Floriana side of the Grand Harbour. The stalls run along the 16th-century Pinto Stores — those low warehouses with the brightly painted doors — and the wine pours come from Maltese producers, with a smaller selection of European imports.

The 2026 edition is Tuesday 9 June through Friday 12 June, 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm each night. Entry is free; you buy a wine glass at the gate (usually a small deposit you can either return or keep) and pay per pour after that. Local food vans line the back of the strip — Maltese platters, pastizzi, pizza, fresh fish.

Live music from a small stage at the far end, low-key acoustic acts rather than headliners. The whole quay is flat and pram/wheelchair friendly. Get there for the first hour while the queues for pours are short and the harbour sunset is still on the Sliema waterline.
